The Junction BC Pacman game
You spend the game avoiding the ghosts whilst getting the blocks along the way, but things change when you get the special power to get them. You can then be confident in getting them but you know that this power is not going to last so you can’t be too risky or you lose a life. This is a simple way to explain the confidence you get with God. He helps you live a life confident in the example Jesus gives us, but like the timer he always reminds you never to be over confident in your own abilities because can they can just end.

Taken from a service about the 'Mystery of Christ' (Ephesians 3 – 1-13), this activity tries to explain it in simple terms. With a Jigsaw, you don’t how it all fits together, but you know if you work hard to fit the pieces together you will get the answer.

Wooden block game
Taken from a service about the family (Ephesians 6, v1- 4), this game illustrates the following:

• The starting point is one where we have Jesus at the heart of the family. It’s solid, secure and everyone is happy.
• Now imagine if we didn’t have Jesus at the centre of the family. Without living life by Jesus it’s easy to forget that love and forgiveness are the most important things in life and the family.
• Start taking blocks out. Without looking to Jesus, it’s easy for things to start happening that upset people and can make the family an unhappy place to be. You see it’s the little things that add up to make problems and everyone adds to it.
• Using Brother/sister/Mum/Dads things without asking.
• Not tidying your room up when you know you should.
• Family arguing.
• Family not sharing.
• Any others?
• Eventually the family can be like the Wooden blocks that are about to fall over. Everyone feels out of place, unhappy and angry.
• You see Jesus shows us that love and forgiveness are how we should live our life. That can be difficult to do in the family sometimes, but if you have Jesus in family life it will be a happy place to be.
